My favorite little past time is reading magazines.  I have 15 subscriptions.  Please don't make me list them all...it's embarrassing :).  Nothing makes me happier then spending a minute or two reading one of my magazines.  Last night, I walked by Kensington in the family room and found this...

A Summery Winter Day

Please lower your expectations...these are not great pictures.  I snapped these last night while the kids played in the back yard before dinner.  It was so warm!  It was like June in February (ok...maybe a slight exaggeration...it was like April in February.).

Kensington took her two babies outside and played with them in the swing.  She wanted to stay out there all night.

Smith ran around the entire time with Rapunzel...who was naked.  I'm sure Dr. Phil could explain that one to me but oh well...a naked Barbie entertained him for quite a long time...

He likes to shake my tiki torches.  Again...with his naked Rapunzel. 

I'm not quite ready for warm weather.  We'll have P-L-E-N-T-Y of that in our future.  I'm hoping for a little bit more cold before the season is all said and done.

Kensington's first...

...ice cream cone?  I do believe it was!  She's 3 and a half and her mama just today bought her an ice cream cone for the first time.  I'm such a bad mom.  And it was a Chick-fil-a one...not even a great first cone.  Oh well...she really enjoyed it :).

Smith is still an ice cream cone virgin...maybe one day...:)

Oh yes...and Carter and Sheaffer were there for the big moment too!  This is Carter.  Dressed like he stepped right out of a Gap ad.  Love that kid!

Snow White and Prince Charming

My kids have been playing Snow White and Prince Charming all week.  Kensington will "go to sleep" and the handsome Prince will come kiss her to wake her up.  I realize that this game will become inappropriate very soon but for now, they're just two toddlers being oh so cute!  (As you can see Prince Charming also moonlights as a doctor...he would wake her up and then come over with that stethoscope and check on "sick mommy".)  Lots of role playing goes on in our house!

The Good Life

Today has been one of those days when everything is just going perfectly (not all days are like that!).  The kids were great at the gym...they were playing together so happily when I went to pick them up.  The three of us ran into the grocery store to pick up some veggies, then it was back to home.  It's super chilly outside, so I'm very happy to have yummy potato soup cooking away in the slow cooker.  Ahhh...I must enjoy this day...tomorrow might not go as smoothly :).



I made brownies before lunch while the kids colored.  They love coloring!!

I am a nail polish junkie.  JUNKIE.  This morning, my sweet girl said she couldn't possibly go to the gym without her nails painted turquoise...any guess what color my nails are right now???  Like mother like daughter :).

Happy Birthday Landry!

Yesterday, was our dear friend Landry's third birthday!!  Since the party was during the afternoon, Smith stayed home and napped while I took Kensington to the festivities.  It was a bounce house birthday bash, so needless to say, K had the BEST time!  (An hour of constant bouncing with a giant piece of cake at the end...HEAVEN!)

Kensington also enjoyed sliding down the inflatable slide.  She must have done this 200 times!

I stuck my camera under the netting to snap a picture.  When I pulled the camera back out to check and see if I got one, this was what I got.  Priceless!

Birthday girl!  It feels like yesterday when I waited at the hospital for her to be born!

These two girls really love spending time together.  They jumped right up next to each other for their cake :).

I taught Kensington how to blow on her party horn.

Man of the House

Some pictures of the man of our house from today...

First thing this morning, he watched a little Bubble Guppies and had milk with Nilla Wafers.  Please don't judge me...he had a Poptart about 20 minutes later...still don't judge me :).

He was all smiles taking Kensington to school.

She was smiles too!

Then it was off to see the pediatrician for our 2 year well visit.  Hanging out in his undies waiting for the doc.

He took approximately 1,089 pictures of our feet.  He kept saying "look at our feet Mommy".

That's it.  Now he's napping.  It must be nice to be the man of our house!
