Party of Five part 2

Posted on 03:30 by Unknown
Yesterday, I shared with you the big news about how the Shull family is expanding by one girl.  Sweet Ashby London will be adopted from another country and a part of our family forever.  Today, I'm going to post Andrew's part of the testimony.  God did not work on our hearts at the same time or the same way.  We thought it was really important for you to hear both sides of our story.  This is Andrew's...

About three years ago, Shay brought up the whole thought of adoption.  One Sunday, I was serving in the Children’s building (the reason why I never heard the sermon) at our church and she attended the service.  That Sunday, our  former pastor Jeff Warren spoke on the orphans in the world.  With over 150 million orphans in the world, Jeff’s sermon was about how our generation has been called to action.  James 1:27 says “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.”  Has God called all of us to adopt?  No.  Just like he calls some to sell all they have and become missionaries in Asia, he has called some to stay here and fight the fight.  God calls each of us to different mission fields and acts of service.  On that Sunday, Shay had begun to hear God’s calling for our family.

After Shay and I got home that day, Shay mentioned how the message really moved her.  She didn't say anything about wanting to adopt in that moment, but over the course of the next few months, I could tell God was working on her.  She ultimately told me that she felt like she had a desire to eventually adopt.  I can imagine most of you think that I was totally open to the idea.  Well surprise, surprise.  I was 100% against it.  Not because I didn't think it was an awesome calling, but God had not yet called me at that point.  I had no desire, not even a shred of conviction.  Shay kept mentioning it over the course of the next 6 months and it became a major argument in our relationship.  She felt so strongly and I had no feeling at all.  So here is what we did.  I told Shay that I would spend the next year in prayer about it and at the end of that year, I would let her know if God had changed my heart or if I still didn't feel called.

So, I began praying.

I knew that if this was something God wanted me to do, He had some major work to accomplish.  I was open to whatever God chose.  About 6 months after I began searching God on the issue, I finally was able to diagnose one of my major problems.  At that time, I viewed my love for my kids as 100%.  Almost like I gave Kensington 50% and Smith 50%.  My very limited understanding wouldn't allow me move past this problem.  I kept thinking, "I don’t have any more love to share", and then God reminded me that the kind of love we should have for our children and orphans is the same He demonstrated for us on the cross.  He daily gives each of us 100% of His love.  I can give Smith 100%,  Kensington 100%.  Even though my time might be split, I can still give each of my kids the love they deserve.  God had just laid the foundation.

Anyone who really knows me, knows that behind God and Shay, my kids follow right after in priorities.  I tend to even put my family over things like sleep.  If I have to work, I sometimes go back late at night, or usually every Saturday morning, I am at the office at 5:30 am because I don’t want to cut into family time doing the bookkeeping for my business.  My love for my kids is deep.

One night (almost a year from our commitment to prayer), Shay and I were driving home from being out. With the kids in the backseat, we stopped at the grocery store so she could run in and grab a few things.  As I waited for her, I noticed a man coming out of the store with his three daughters.  Two were around 12 years old and one was around 6.  The 6 year old had apparently been acting up, but instead of reacting in a way to discipline his daughter the man totally demeaned her in front of the store.  So much so that her shoulders sagged her head dropped and she began to cry.  Then instead of giving her a hug, the man turned with his other two daughters and began to walk away.  God used this like a lightning bolt in my life.  He had already shown me that I could love a third child.  The fact that if Shay told me she was pregnant, I would have been excited.  But right then and there, I began to cry.  I realized that God had given me the ability to be a great dad.  Not that I am perfect, nor that I don’t/will make mistakes, but I have and overwhelming desire to be a dad.  What transpired in my mind that night was that God was telling me “Andrew, you think this is bad, there are boys and girls in the world who get treated much worse than this”.  I realized at that moment that God was telling me something.  He had over that 12 months, given me the desire that 12 months earlier, I had not had.

So, I wanted to break the news to Shay in the next few weeks.  At that moment, we just began praying about the when.  We were just open to the idea, and even though we said yes, we knew that ultimately God still might have other plans. So for about 6 months, we said yes and then waited.

About 2 months ago I began reading a book called Not a Fan.  I have said it before, but I have read all of about .5 books since I was in college, and even then I never really read.  But this book changed my life...especially, one part in particular.  In Chapter 3, Dr. Rich Edwards tells his testimony of how God changed his life.

On February 10, 2006, I was in control of my life and I liked the direction things were going.  I had a thriving chiropractic practice, two sons, and a devoted wife.  On February 11, everything changed.  I was heading out to my hunting cabin where I planned to meet up with friends and hunt wild boar.  As I drove along I could see the effects from the severe drought we had been experiencing.  Everything seemed to have dried up and died.
By the time I reached the road heading to the cabin, it  was dark.  As I turned, I missed the road and ended up in five feet of thick brush.  I tried to free my truck by putting it in forward , then reverse repeatedly.  The friction from that somehow ignited the brush.  Within seconds the truck was a large torch.  I reached for the door handle to escape but the electrical system burned out and I was locked inside.  Seconds later the windows exploded. I don’t really know what happened after that, and I have no idea how I got out of the truck.  The next thing I remember is walking down the road to the cabin telling myself over and over, “Don’t stop.  Keep going.”

When I reached the cabin, my friends thought I was wearing some kind of three dimensional leafy outfit, but it wasn't camouflage.  It was shredded, charred skin.  A mediflight helicopter took me to a burn unit where I was told I wouldn't have much of a face left and that I would probably lose my sight as well as the use of my hands.

God put an absolute halt on my life.  I was so busy being so successful; I was on such a fast track, that God was a part of my life but he was not the most important part.  He was not on the throne of my heart or at the center of my universe.  I was at the center.  I don’t believe God caused the fire, but I believe God allowed it because he wanted to get my attention.

That was the part of the story where I stopped and woke up.  I felt as though God wanted my attention and I felt all of the sudden like he was wanting me to act on the adoption.  I have been so blessed in so many areas of my life.  My family, my wife, my business, our wonderful community, …etc.  There have been things that have happened in our lives that the only explanation is God.  People ask how did that happen and all I can ever say is that God did it.  What I sensed was God saying, "Andrew you are at a crossroads.  You can sit on your heels for the next few years being comfortable (two kids, nice home, great business, 1 dog)and like Rich, I can grab your attention.  Or you act on the adoption and get going."

So, I did what any normal Christian would do.  I didn't do ANYTHING but told myself I would pray about it a little longer and tell Shay at the right time.  God had other plans.  Later that afternoon when I got back in the office, I was making sales calls and something happened I will never forget.  God wanted my attention, he wanted me to get going.  Go back to the story of Rich and his truck being fully engulfed in flames.  That must have been a horrific sight.  Then it happened... when I looked out my office to the parking lot 75 yards across the street, there was a pickup that had caught on fire and like Rich’s truck, was fully engulfed in flames.  No one was inside thankfully, but needless to say God got my attention.  In 32 years I have never witness God moving like this.  After seeing this, I sat Shay down, told her what had happened and we started our adoption journey.

So I ask each of you readers, what is God calling you to do today?  Could you be the one to step out on faith and adopt, go on a short term mission, go on an international mission trip, or just walk across the street and invite a neighbor to church?  God wants your attention.  Need a plan?  Start by reading Not a Fan by Kyle Idelman.

Andrew Answers Part 2

Posted on 02:42 by Unknown
My sweet hubby answered some more questions for you ladies :).  If you missed his answers from Part 1, click here.

I love this guy!

            1. How do you get such a great complexion?
In recent years, I have really been working on taking care of my face.  I want to be 65 but look like I am 40.  I know that is not something that most men would admit, but I am comfortable enough with my manhood that I can come out and say that.  I would rather my face not look like an old catcher’s mitt when I hit 40.  I use a ton of moisturizer, my Clarisonic, and get chemical peels every 3 weeks.

Clarisonic Mia

2. As a small business owner, how do you balance home-life with work?
One of my favorite pastors, Chris Stull, said in a sermon many years ago that in life you are always going to cheat someone.  Whether that is your work, yourself, or your family.  Don’t ever cheat your family.  Success in the business world is never worth failure in the home.  You will never visit someone dying in a hospital bed and ever hear them say, “ I wish I would have spent more time at work.”  They will always say they wish they would have spent more time with their family.  I make sure that I am always home in the evening and if I do have the rare late night appointment, I try to schedule it after they go to bed around 8:00.

3. What’s your all-time favorite thing to do with Shay?
Since Shay said I couldn't discuss #1, then I would say travel.  I love traveling with Shay because we are two peas in a pod.  We love to walk the streets, shop, and eat wonderful meals.  I have seen so much of the world with her, and I pray that we have a chance to do so much more.

St. Petersburg, Russia

Ghent, Belgium

      4. What’s your favorite KSU memory?
Winning the Big 12 Championship.  I was a captain on the team that year and I am proud to say that when no one gave us a chance to win that game versus an undefeated Oklahoma team dubbed “the mini-NFL team”, we walked out with not only a win, but we took them to the woodshed.

5. What was your first impression of Shay?
She was out of my league.  I knew she was marriage material.  I dated a lot in college but with Shay, we had an instant connection.  We talked in her parents' kitchen for at least an hour when we first met.  She was getting out of a serious relationship (on July 4th), so it wasn’t until school started that we started dating.  I only talked to her once actually between those dates.  I remember telling my best friend Aaron Martin about her and no lie, Aaron said that she was the one I would marry way before we even got serious.

6. Do you manage the family finances?
I manage the business and Shay manages the personal.  Running a small business is enough for me to handle.  Running payroll (salaries, hourly raises), taxes, paying bills, etc. keeps me busy.  Bottom line is I trust Shay and quite honestly, I don’t even look at the personal finances.

See there was a time before we started our business, where we had no money.  We used all of our savings to buy our home and start our business.  I remember one week after paying the bills, we had to make it two weeks with just $100.  I remember we ate peanut butter and jelly for a whole two weeks and snuck over to Jay and Sherry’s for a few dinners.  We always had a rule back then.  Anything over $10 and we had to ask the other for permission.  Praise the Lord that he has blessed us where this is not the case, but really any purchase I make to this day, I still run by her and she with me.  We have one account for business and one for personal.  It’s our money, not mine or hers.  We are in this together.  Money has never been a sticking point in our relationship.  We very, very rarely ever argue about money.  We trust each other.

7. What do you do to bond with your son?
Anything.  I can take him to run errands, and we have the best time.  Someday when he is older, we will be able to bond over KSU football, the Yankees, and the Cowboys.  For now, I am content with bike rides and bedtime stories.

     8. What is your favorite dinner and dessert that Shay cooks?
Meatloaf and mashed potatoes and her bananaless banana pudding (which is banana pudding without any bananas) or red velvet bundt cake.

      9. How do you think they should pick the 4 teams for the BCS playoffs next year?
Top 4 BCS teams are in.  Eventually they need to expand this to 8 teams.  Here is the thing: they can say that players like bowl preparation and having 4 weeks from the last game to the BCS game, but that is crap.  I would have much rather stayed in a groove and played in playoff games.  Bowl prep was a beating and it was long.  They need to get rid of the NCAA, start the 4 major conferences, have them expand and then start the 8 team playoff system.  It will happen, mark my words.

            10.       What did you learn growing up on a farm?
Hard work.  While everyone else was out by the pool during the summer, I was making hay.  When it was 105 degrees outside, in a barn it was about 130.  When it was the dead of winter and all you wanted to do was stay inside and eat ho-hos, I was out after school/practice feeding the cattle.  I also learned how to appreciate the outdoors.  Being in McKinney, there isn't much opportunity to hunt and fish, in Missouri you can walk out my parents' backdoor and get all you want.

  11.        What do you consider your greatest success?
Maybe it is the unsatisfied athlete in me, but I don’t feel like my greatest success has happened yet.  I just don’t quite feel like I have “arrived” so to speak.  I have had some victories for sure, but the success I want my life to be built on isn’t of this world.  In the end, who cares how much money you have, how successful your business is, the size of your home, the kind of car you drive.  Not me.

    12. What has brought you the most joy in your life?
My kids.  Being a dad is the coolest thing EVER!  I feel so blessed that God has given such a wonderful gift.

13. What is your all-time favorite vacation spot?
Any place in Europe, although I am partial to London.

London 2006

14.   What is your best piece of small business advice?
There are a couple of key elements I believe you must have to operate a small business.  First and foremost, you have to be a self-starter/self-motivator.  If someone is always having to push you, then don’t even think about it.  Another key element is hard work and the expectation that you are never “off the clock”.  If it were easy everyone would do it.  But unlike most jobs that end at 5, my job is around the clock.  Of course I could shut down at 5 and never look back, but in today’s society you have to make yourself available at all times.  Not to mention when you own a small business a small piece of you is always still in the office.  Now the best thing about a small business is that you control your income and vacation time.  Plus, no one is ever going to tell you what to do.  You want a raise, go out and work a little harder.  A small business is a lot of work, but most things in life that are worthwhile are.

15. What was your childhood like?
I grew up on a farm and spent every waking moment outdoors and playing sports.  We had 3 television stations growing up and didn't have much entertainment.

The Shull's farm in Missouri

16. Are you happy with 2 kids or would you like more?
I am up for whatever God wants!

17. Do you follow a specific Bible study when you do your quiet time?
I do a couple of different things.  I like to start with the Jesus Calling app, go straight to the corresponding Proverb for the day.  Then I head straight to www.preceptaustin.org.  This is the greatest collection of sermons, bible studies, topical studies, Greek/Hebrew studies ever.  Sermons from everywhere, verse by verse commentary.  Check it out!

        18. Were you raised in a Christian Family?  When did you become a Christian?  How do you and Shay tell your children of God’s love and lead/guide them in their spiritual growth, in addition to church/Sunday School?
I was blessed enough to say that I was raised in a Christian home.  If on Sunday we weren't at church, something was wrong.  I accepted Christ on February 18th, 1989.  I was a 7 year old, but to this day I can remember how I felt and what happened.

I have no doubt that I was saved that day.  My faith over the past 32 years has grown like a tree.  In some seasons it grows more, and in others, not as much.  I recently read a book called Not a Fan.  Our Bible fellowship group is still in the process of studying it.  I wish I would have read a book like this, or another book called Radical, when I was in Junior high.

In the most recent book Not a Fan, it asks the question, are you a fan or a follower of Jesus?   READ THIS BOOK.  If you don’t have the money email Shay and we will find a copy to send to you.

With Kensington and Smith, we talk about Jesus all the time.  I know it's a crazy concept for small kids, but we constantly talk about God.  We tell Bible stories before bed (seems like David & Goliath and Moses are the most requested).  We pray, we ask them to tell us about Jesus.  Even though Smith and Kensington can tell you who Jesus is and that he died on the cross for our sins, we still know that they aren't quite aware of their surroundings so to speak.  In the meantime, we will keep singing, praying and talking.  The other night, I was lying in bed with a headache and Kensington climbed into bed, laid her hands on my head and said daddy I will pray for you.  She said, "Jesus I ask that you make my daddy feel better, Amen".  I have no doubt that God hears every prayer of every believer, but that one had to have made him smile.

Thank you to Shay for letting me guest post.  I hope I didn't disappoint.  Thank you for loving Shay and seeing why, after 10 years, I am still smitten for her.

You can find Andrew on Instagram and Twitter @AndrewShull.  You can also find him on my family room sofa every night watching Real Housewives of Something with me and eating a brownie.  He might have a super, super healthy diet but every night, he indulges in a good trashy reality TV show and a little piece of dessert.  Life is just too short not to.

Look what's in the slow cooker today on my foodie blog...

Andrew Answers Part 1

Posted on 02:54 by Unknown
Last week, I gave you the opportunity to ask Andrew some questions (because I get a lot of questions for him) and you did!  There were many questions about his v-necks...but yes, there were some other questions too.  In fact, he had so many questions that I decided to split this up between two posts...today and next Wednesday.

Here you go...unedited, unfiltered, this is my hubby of 9.5 years, Andrew...

       1. Do you shave your chest?
The best money I ever spent was on Laser Hair removal.  Ladies and gentlemen if you have ever thought about it, do it.  It was worth every penny.

     2. Why do you love v-necks so much?
I like plain clothes.  Ralph Lauren Polos, V-necks (with no logo),
 Cowboys/Heat/Yankee t-shirts, and Nike dry-fit shirts.
My wardrobe consists of these staples.
I buy for fit.  If a v-neck fits well then I buy like 20 of them in every color.
Remind you of anyone?

Basic Polos found here

Urban Outfitter's Super V here

Urban Outfitter's basic V here

    3.  Do you have your own style or does Shay influence you?
Own style, although if Shay told me she didn't like something, I would change it in a heartbeat.
Her opinion is big to me!

4.       What do your workouts look like?
The gym is my sanctuary.  I clear my head and it gets me started for the day.
I have had a weight room/conditioning regime consistently since I was 13 years old.
So for 19 years of my life, it has been a daily activity.  That doesn't mean it is
always easy, but I am a true believer that you can create positive habits in your life.
I can honestly say that in the past 5 years, unless it I was on vacation or sick,
I was in the gym at least 5-6 times a week.

Now here is the kicker.  The way you look is not determined by your habits at the gym, but
mainly by your nutrition.  80% of the way you look right now is based on what you eat.
I eat 7 meals a day consisting of chicken, fish, 24 egg whites, turkey, and limited complex carbs.
Do I want to be a body builder? Absolutely not.
My goal is to have a fitness physique, maintain my health, and relieve my stress.
I believe God has called us to take care of our bodies and therefore I honor God
when I take care of the body he has given me.
It’s not easy or everyone would do it, but as Proverbs 13:4 says,
Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper and be satisfied.
As far as my workout goes, I never stop moving.
For those who go to the gym to socialize, talk on the phone, or stretch for 30 minutes,
please don’t complain that you are out of shape.  I see so many people that waste time.
My workout partner Ty and I will super set exercises, run circuits, life heavy sets,
and mix cardio in every day.  We never do the same exercise twice,
and we constantly mix up the reps and speed.  Always keep your body guessing and push yourself.
Definition of insanity anyone?  Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

5.       Where is your vacation bag from?
I bought it at the buckle years and years ago.

Similar bag found here.

6.       What is the key to a happy marriage (especially when you get married young)?
Never give up on your spouse.  You will have disagreements, fights, good times,
bad times, and moments when you can’t imagine what you would have done
without the other person.  Marriage is not a 5 year or 10 year commitment; it is a lifetime,
death till we part, commitment.  It isn't a we’ll stay together until I find something better,
or I will stay with you as long as this doesn't happen kind of commitment.
Never give up on each other and the commitment you made to God.

7.       What advice do you have for single gals about finding a guy?
Go to church.  If you are trying to find your guy in a bar, that is not the guy you want.
There is nothing wrong with joining a singles Bible study, running as fast as you can
towards Jesus and once in a while looking around to see who is doing the same.
I will tell my daughter the same thing.  In whatever circumstance you are in, be thankful:
single, divorced, heartbroken, engaged, married, and happy.
This is the verse I am currently living in.
Nothing happens by chance.  You are where you are
because that is where God wants you.  1 Thessalonians 5:18, "Give thanks to
God in all circumstances".

8.       How many v-necks do you own and where do you buy them?
25-30  Urban outfitters (slim fit v-necks)

9.       What are your favorite stores for clothes?
Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Love Zappos!

10.   What is your relationship like with Sean?
I have known Sean for 11 years.  I am a true believer that relationships go through seasons.
Sean and I both have a lot going on right now, so in this season,
we are not as close as we have been in the past.
I do expect, once the dust settles, for things to once again be what they once were.

   11.   How do you set goals and accomplish everything you set your mind to?
When I was in college, we would watch films of our games and practices,
and we would always focus on the plays in which we made a mistake.
We analyzed what we could have done differently during that practice or game.
That is not to say that the great plays weren't celebrated because they were,
but if all you do is live in the shadow of the positive play how can you ever
expect to gain ground?  I set realistic expectations for myself and for my staff.
We don’t always hit them.  If we do, we celebrate for a brief moment, but then we move on.
If we fail, we learn from what happened and move on to the next.
You’re not going to win them all, but when you stack up all the individual tasks,
you have to be moving in the right direction or you are in trouble.
I have been very blessed with our business.
God put me in the right place at the right time, and quite frankly, some of the decisions
I made to take action or to delay ended up being a God thing.

12.   What’s the best piece of business advice you've ever received?
Consistency.  This was not necessarily a piece of business advice rather football
advice that applies in the business world.  No matter what happened, Coach Bill
Snyder was the same.  Win or lose, he was always the same.
We had the same routine, heck, even by my 3rd year in college, I ate the same thing every
week.  Most people can do a job, task, or exercise program for 3 months,
6 months or even a year.  The ones who are successful can do it for longer
periods of time, 5 years, 10 years, forever.  The other never give up.
No matter what happens, always take one more step, make one more phone call,
talk to one more person, until the whistle blows.

The infamous Coach Bill Snyder

13.   Do you still wish you played professional football?
Let me think.  Heck no.  I had my time in the sun, but it was a lot of pain and pressure for many years.  In the end, my body just couldn't keep up.  Even now, I can’t even play a
game of flag football without being able to walk the next day.
Controlled movements, I can do, but anything else kills me.
I try to live my life with no regrets and I had none.  I was able to walk away
(which my agent and some of my family never understood).  For me it was more important
to be able to play with my kids later in life.  After 3 surgeries in a year, I was ready
to hang it up.  I still love and respect the game more than anything.  I have wonderful
memories of everything, but I am not one of those guys that still
lives wishing he could go back.

   14.   How was it like working with Shay and starting your own business?  How did you not kill each other?
When I first started with State Farm, Shay was actually my boss.  I learned so much from
her.  Shay and I work really well together.  We can kind of read each other’s mind,
so when we are doing things, we are very quick and efficient.
This is not to say that sometimes things didn't get tense.  Shay and I we both realize
that we are not going anywhere.  For us, the big “D” is not an option,
so we have to work things out.  Regardless of what has been said or done,
at the end of the day I love her and I made a commitment to God.
For those who don’t know me really well, I am someone that if I say I am going to do
something, or make a commitment, I don’t stop until it is accomplished.

15.   How did you feel about the Bachelorette/Bachelor?
First and foremost, the producers and everyone that is in production for the show,
are just the nicest people.  I had such a great experience.  The show, which I have
watched every season, is a TV show.  This is not to say that once in a while you don’t catch
magic in a bottle (Sean and Catherine, Trista and Ryan, Jason and Molly), but a large portion
of the show is to entertain us as viewers.  Everything you see is real, it’s not scripted,
but there are subtle hints given that might help get topics and conversations started.
In the end, do you really want people sitting around talking about the weather for 3 hours?
A little gas on the fire never hurt to get it started.  That’s all I am saying.

In Thailand, filming the final of the Bachelor.

 16.   Do you ever tell Shay not to blog about certain things?
Nope.  For those who don’t know me, I am an open book.
You could literally ask me any question and I would tell you my thoughts.  I
trust Shay 100%, plus she is a brilliant writer.

Thank you so much for all of your questions!  The second half or your questions will post next Wednesday!

Barcelona & Riviera Cruise: Days 10, 11 & 12

I'm wrapping up our wonderful vacation today!  Just a few more pictures for you...and make sure you scroll down to the bottom for one last piece of info!

Day 10 started with our port in beautiful Mallorca, Spain!  I really didn't have any expectations for this port but it turned out to be one of my favorites.  We had the very best day here!  (Even with Andrew and his elephant leg!)

The architecture was beautiful, the city was really nice, the people were friendly...we had more than enough to do at this port.  And because I obviously don't pull my camera out enough when the kids aren't around, I google imaged a few pics for you to go with our selfies (note to self, even without kids, I need to take more pics!).

It was hot, he was hobbling a bit, but we had the very best time!

The streets are narrow and wind around with little steps (very reminiscent of Venice).  We stopped at this little restaurant for some yummy lunch.  We spent the entire day at this port and didn't get back on the ship until evening.  It was a really, really good port...one that I might come back to and stay for several days.

That night, we stayed up until 10:30 (which is the middle of the night in my book!) for the Dessert Extravaganza on the ship!  It was so much fun!

Towers of donut holes dripping in chocolate!

So much sugar, we can't contain ourselves!!

After we awoke from our sugar coma the next morning, we hopped off at our last port, Valencia.

We walked the streets of Valencia all day and stumbled upon this little antique book shop.  We collect antique books (especially Andrew!), so he was in heaven.

We left with 3 really neat Spanish books.

After boarding the ship that night to sail back to Barcelona, we had our last dinner on the boat.

And on Day 12 we left Barcelona and made the 24 hour trek back to Dallas.  We had the very best time!  The kiddos were so excited to see us when we landed at DFW!!  We had missed each other so much!  Thank you so much to all 4 grandparents for taking such great care of Kensington and Smith!  They can't stop talking about all the fun they had :).

Alright...due to high demand, I've asked Andrew to do an Ask Andrew post next Wednesday.  It cracks me up the number of questions I get for Andrew and about Andrew.  The last time I did, Ask Shay, the majority of the questions asked were about Andrew!  You leave him a question in the comment section below, and he'll look through them and get you answers.

Ask away...his answers will be up next Wednesday, August 14.

(What are the odds that he'll get some questions about his v-neck shirts???)

And check out my yummy breakfast recipe today...

My moist and dense Ultimate Coconut Bread!
So simple and so delicious!

You have two more days to enter a chance to win a pair of Lovely Lace Leggings for the little girl in your life, click here for details.

Have a great day!
