In-laws in town!

Posted on 12:11 by Unknown
This weekend, Andrew's mom and dad drove down to spend some time with us.  We had such a relaxing weekend hanging out, doing some shopping, playing in the yard and of course, eating!
On Saturday, we shopped and had lunch.

Then Saturday night, we hit Maggiano's for dinner and shopping at North Park Mall.  My sweet in-laws!

We love you Nanny and PawPaw!  See you again soon!

For Grandmother...

Posted on 11:00 by Unknown
Yesterday, I was talking on the phone with my Grandmother when she asked me when I was going to be posting more pictures.  I said, "Grandmother, I just posted some today!".  She said, "I know.  I'm ready for more.".  So, these pictures are for you Grandmother!  We love you!!  (And Papaw too!)
"Hi Grandmother!  I'm feeling so much better!"

"Here is my tongue!  And you can also see one of my dimples that I inherited from Mommy who inherited them from you!"

 "Here is my head."

 "Here is my nose."

 "Here are my fingers."

"Here is me waving to the camera."

 "Here I am dancing."

"And here I am saying 'Cheese'"!!!

Sweet boy!

Posted on 10:06 by Unknown
Well...after two years, 7 months and 16 days of being a mom, I finally got my first sick kid.  I know, I know, I know...it was time, right?  Of course, this was the one Sunday morning when Andrew had to be at church early, so he got up, got dressed and was out by 7:00.  I was up, dressed, hair and makeup done, waiting for my kids to wake up so we could go to church too...then at 7:50, little Smithy woke up with some stomach bug thing.  Ugg...off to the tub he went.  Followed by me removing my church clothes and putting my clean and fresh hair in a ponytail.  Poor little guy.  Miss Kensington slept until 9:15, so I just knew she would be sick too (that gal never, ever sleeps past 7:30.  Ever!).  But, she woke up full of energy, wanting to eat breakfast and play.  Little Smith has been cuddling with Mama, sipping Pedialyte, and being super, super sweet.  Here are a few pictures from last night.  He was having a blast in the backyard playing, eating a popsicle, rolling in the grass and dirt and being...well, a boy!

And this is him right this very second...he's never watched Toy Story, so I thought he could today on his first sick day.  About 5 minutes into the movie, this is what happened...
As my Mimi would say, "God love that little boy".

Prince William and Princess Kate go to the zoo

Posted on 13:35 by Unknown
Well, sort of...this morning, as Andrew and I watched several hours of the Royal wedding on TV, he pointed out that our kids were Smith WILLIAM and Kensington KATE.  Since we chose their name specifically because they were British names, this seemed rather fitting.  Plus, most days I feel like we treat them like royalty.  So after the wedding on TV, the three of us headed over to the Fort Worth Zoo.  That's where all the Royals go, right?

This year, they introduced dinosaurs at the zoo.  Kensington thought they were pretty cool until...

...they started moving and "roaring".  That made her hide and Smith cry.

Here she is looking at the elephants with Kara.  Sweet Kara and Landry met us there today.

 Miss Landry

I know that a lot of people disagree but I think this kid looks like her mama.

And this one does too.  (Sorry Andrew.  Maybe you and your next wife will have kids that look like you :)).

 Self-portrait  #1

 And self-portrait #2

Nope.  Not scared of the big snake.  Tapping on the glass daring it to snap at her.

I love my little royals!
