Fall Fun

Posted on 08:58 by Unknown
Wow!  What a busy two days we've had!  We are enjoying fall this weekend...

On Friday, we went and played with Carter and Mrs. Sheaffer.  Smith's in a little house saying "hi!".

Kensington sulking after getting in trouble.  What a girl!

Carter looks like he's posing for a GQ ad.

The kiddos love playing in the little houses.

Sheaffter took this picture of Smith...I think he's having diaper issues.

It's hard to play when your diaper is giving you problems :).

Sweet girl!

We also played with Ebby Lee and Nixon.  Here we are listening to live music and eating cookies out on the lawn.

Those Slaughter kids LOVE to dance.  They were cracking me up!

On Saturday, we took a walk around Papa Jay and Lovie's neighborhood.

Smith got a ride.

Kensington chasing all of the ducks away

Now, we're feeding the ducks...trying to coax them back to shore.

We did a little diggin' at the park.

And some slidin' too.

Lovie showed off her mad climbing skills.

And Smith hung on for dear life.

Hope you had  a great weekend too!

Do you froth at home?

Posted on 11:06 by Unknown
Oh good heavens, look what I got!!!  Two weeks ago, we went into Williams-Sonoma (my favorite store) and the lady must have seen the "I'm obsessed with coffee" sign on my forehead because she first asked me if I wanted a sample of coffee and then she asked me if I wanted froth.  Froth!  I was so happy, intrigued, delighted, joyous that I couldn't help myself but buy a frother too.  It's the Nespresso version and it's my new best friend.  I love it.  Like it might be on our Christmas card this year I love it so much.  While my coffee is brewing, I quickly press a button and hot froth is whipped up in 70 seconds (if I press the button twice, cold froth is whipped up for cold coffee drinks.).  I mean seriously...I know I shouldn't be this joyous over froth but I am.  I'm not ashamed of my love for froth.  If you heart froth too, you must go out and get one today!

And no...this doesn't mean that I've cut down on my Starbucks a day.  This just means that my morning joe is frothy.

Look at this pumpkin spice latte that I whipped up at home.  In seconds!

Sweet, glorious froth

And while we're on the coffee subject, look what Smith and I bought at Walmart today.  Praise the Lord, holiday creamers are back!

Pumpkin Patch

Posted on 11:33 by Unknown
What's the best way to spend a cool fall day?  At the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm!

Papa Jay and the kids checking out the animals.  They loved being able to feed the cows and other animals.

Kensington and Lovie feeding a cow.

Mr. Smith is sure excited about something!

Pretty girl!

Mom and me

My kids (and let's be truthful, me) were in heaven!  Lunch was a hot dog, Cheetos and Peanut M&Ms!

Lovie and I took the kids on the "train" ride around the farm.

In the train.

We told the kids they could each pick out a pumpkin to bring home.  Smith's lookin' for his.

Kensington lookin' for hers.

Since Lovie is an interior designer and all, maybe she should help pick the prettiest pumpkin.

Look at him!  The kid might be small but he has some strength.  He thought he was hot stuff carrying around the big pumpkin.

But he settled on a little pumpkin instead.

Kensington got her pumpkin and we were ready to go.  What a fun time!  This will definitely be a Shull family tradition!

Happenings

Posted on 13:02 by Unknown
Here are some happenings around the Shull house...
My kids at Costo...they love the samples :)

On Thursday, we had record heat (98 degrees!) in Dallas for September 30th.  I took sweet little Smith to Canton with Andrew's parents.  He was soooooooooooooo good!  He never fussed.  Not one time.  He sat happily in his stroller and was just an angel the entire (extremely hot) time we were out there.  Kensington stayed at home where Daddy took her to school, picked her up and then took her to gymnastics.  He said he loved doing all of that.  It was a win-win day for us.

On Friday, I took Kensington to Charming Charlie's.  She was in accessory heaven!

Here are my kiddos so excited about shopping in a children's store that has a TV.

Kensington Cottage is all dressed up for fall :)

At my parents' house with my man.

Kensington shut the door to the play house and Smith couldn't get himself out.  This was all I saw from the front yard.  So pathetic!

Doesn't the house look so cozy at night?!

While I was getting ready on Saturday morning, I turned on some cartoons for Smith.  The rule in my bedroom is that if the bed is made, they can't get on it.  Well, I came out of the bath and found this stinker in the pillows watching TV.

Swingin'

Posted on 14:24 by Unknown
I totally stole this off of Sheaffer's blog.  Look at my big boy swinging on a big swing by himself for the first time!  When did he get so big?  Smith William Shull, I love you so much!
