K learns to swim!!
Posted on 11:10 by Unknown
This was our second year to take swim lessons from the fabulous Ms. Sally. Click here to see our sweet girl last year. It's crazy how far she's come in a year. This year, Smith took lessons too. He wasn't crazy about the experience but Kensington Kate...she can officially swim. Not just kind of swim, we're talking full on swimming across the pool. This kid amazed me with her skills this year. Good job K!
Lovie came to our final class on Friday.
This is us waiting in Ms. Sally's garage...about to go in.
They love their Lovie!
Look at her go!
This is sweet Smith. Trust me...this dude will be wearing floaties all summer.
No fear!
The goggles are just the cutest!
So proud of them for completing their week!
Then this was Saturday...we headed to Lovie and Papa Jay's to show off our swimming skills. She's "posing" here.
XOXO
Hello?! Leaping from the side of the pool. Uncle Sean was quite impressed.
She would leap in and then swim to the side.
Andrew and Sean diving and flipping for us. Crazy guys!

Memorial Day Fun!
Posted on 03:00 by Unknown
This Memorial Day, we had a swim party over at Papa Jay and Lovie's house with the Slaughters. We always have so much fun with the Slaughter Crew!!
Me, Erika and Baby Slaughter on the way...boy or girl...I'm thinking girl.

Wonderful day for a swim!

The sign of a good swim :)

And the best thing to eat during and after a swim...why my Skinny Girl Margarita bundt cake, of course!
Happy Swim Season!

Meet Emmy
Posted on 03:00 by Unknown
For months and months and months, we've told Kensington that if she was good at the wedding (cooperated for pictures, walked down the aisle, smiled, etc.), we would buy her an American Girl Doll as her reward. She's talked about it non-stop. We received a catalog in the mail and she has memorized it. This girl was determined to get her doll. Well, the big day came and she was perfect, so the next evening, we headed into Dallas to visit the American Girl Doll store. Let me just say...I am so thankful I only have one daughter. Geez...that store could get a mom in trouble!
Daddy and Kensington about to walk in.
So happy with their rewards!! (Yes, since Smith was a fabulous ring bearer, he was promised a toy from the toy store, however, he found a stuffed dog at the American Girl doll store and was smitten. One stop shopping for the Shulls!)
Smith and Chocolate Chip :)
Kensington and her Bitty Baby, Emmy. Bitty Babies don't come with names, so when I asked her what she wanted us to call her, she immediately said Emmy. They're in love.
Of course, I had to buy them matching pjs. Aren't they cute?!
Me, my girl and her Emmy.

Sexy and I know it
Posted on 03:25 by Unknown
Every time the LMFAO song Sexy and I know it comes on, we tease my brother and tell him that's his song. It's not...it couldn't be further from the truth. Last night's episode cracked me up when Emily's friends begged demanded asked him to take his shirt off and do push ups. He's not the kind of guy to just walk around showing people how hot he is. Sean getting the rose on a group date involving kids was perfection as well. He is great with kids!! Three episodes in and he's making me super proud to be his sister. The things he said about my parents were so very true...great examples of a wonderful marriage! I love that Sean Lowe. Next week...Bermuda and boats? Hmmm...sounds dramatic, right?
As for the Team Sean bracelet on the beach...I guess Team Sean fans are everywhere :).
PS: I love Wet Paint's Top 10 quotes from last night. Click here to read. Hysterical!

Brooke gets married!!
Posted on 05:25 by Unknown
On Saturday, May 26, my little cousin Brooke married her boyfriend of 10 years Austin Bennett. (They were 12 when they started dating...isn't that sweet?!) If you know my family, you know we like any reason to have a party (and cake), so this wedding has been a huge deal for us. My grandparents have 4 grandkids and we are all 4 so close. We're like siblings. Now 3 out of the 4 are married...only one to go...
The morning before the wedding, Mom, Grandmother and I hosted the bridesmaids brunch at the Stoneleigh Hotel in Dallas.
Casey (Brandon's wife...who I love!!!), Mom and Me

That night, we had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Me and Casey
Sean and Brandon
The day of the wedding! The sweet flower girl Kensington!!
My mom did her hair...thank you Pinterest for ideas :). That's all her hair...no hair piece.
Bridesmaid Mama (who needs to get dressed) and Flower Girl
The ceremony and reception were at The City Club in downtown Dallas. Dad (who officiated), me and Sean.
Love him!
Love him too!
My kids danced and danced and danced. They loved the reception!
Casey and Brandon
The 4 grandkids (and Austin)
I'm so proud of my sweet cousin Brooke! (Who now gets to be Brooke Bennett instead of Brooke Higginbotham...reason enough right there to marry the boy!)
Come on mom, let's dance.
I had 4 pieces. Yes. You read that correctly.
Trouble. That's all I have to say. These two are trouble. Blue eyes, dimples...ladies, watch out.
The 4 Shulls danced the night away.
I didn't have any pictures from the ceremony because I was in the wedding. However, my kids did so great!! Smith was precious standing next to Papa Jay, the officiant, and Kensington was the sweetest little flower girl. Such a blessed day for our family!
