Fifty Two Shades of Shay: Bracelets

Posted on 03:03 by Unknown

You knew it was coming, right?  I'm complete now...first, I talked about my wedges, then I talked about my shorts, next, I talked about my beachy hair, and now...it's my bracelets.  The four things that make Shay, Shay.

I love, love, love wearing an armful of bracelets.  I always wear them stacked against my watch on my left arm.  I would feel naked without them.  (Ok, maybe not naked, but I would feel sad without them.)

I have some tips and tricks to bracelet stacking...and then some great examples.  Try it!  It's the most low maintenance accessory you will wear.

1. If you're going to wear a lot of bracelets, then just wear one other piece of jewelry.  For me, I wear big earrings and not a necklace.  If you wear all three at one time, it's a little much.

2. Try stacking them on one arm instead of both arms.  Again...if you're going to wear 7 or 8 bracelets on one arm, give the other arm a break.  Stacking bracelets doesn't necessarily mean you wear every single bracelet you have at home at once on both arms.  But, if you're dying to wear two armfuls, then just do 3 or 4 on each arm.

3. Mix metals, mix materials, mix widths, mix, mix, mix your bracelets.  Here are some good examples of what I mean...

I mean fabulous, right?  Just a few simple bracelets and all of a sudden jeans and a t-shirt just look a little more special.  That's what I love about bracelets.

I buy bracelets at a lot of random places...but here are some of my favorites that are in stores right now.  Mix and Match the heck out of them...create your own sense of style with your bracelets.

Here are some of my favorite bracelets right now...and they all have great prices!

I love this bracelet bunch from Loft!  What a great bang for your buck!  You get 4 bracelets for one price.  This bunch also comes in a fun pink color as well...but I think these orange tones would look great for fall.  I love stretchy bracelets like this because they don't bang up against my watch and don't make a lot of noise when I walk and move my arms.

How fun are these "call of the wild" bracelets?!?!  And right now, they're a part of Nordstrom's HUGE anniversary sale...so they are extremely marked down!  I don't know which one I like better?!?!  They look totally luxe for such a small price!

How fun would one of these animal print bracelets look with one of these studded bracelets?!?...

Gorgeous, right?  And layered with something dainty or something substantial...it would like chic and fun layered on your arm. I love the studs!

You could also mix the studded look with one of these...

...how pretty are these bracelets????  I think they look so expensive and they're only $25!  One of these would look gorgeous alone with a watch but they would also look fabulous paired with the hardness of the studded bracelets or animal print ones as well.

If you're looking for something a little more dainty, these little initial bracelets come in both gold and silver.  They're so sweet!  I would get the A for Andrew :).

I also love the cross :).  It comes in silver as well.

And then for some color, I like these guys...

Buy one or buy them all, a bangle with a little color adds the right amount of punch to a basic outfit.  These from Michael Kors are on sale right now too (I think the turquoise is my fave!).

And I love these too!

This bracelet comes in yellow and black as well.

And this one is only $18 right now!  It would be so cute layered with other bracelets!

If you can't decide, you should click here for all of the bracelets that are now on sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

Remember my tip...whether you're wearing something fancy or just a basic t-shirt and jeans...adding a stack of bracelets will make you feel more put together in a snap.  Layer, layer layer the sizes, textures, and metals of your bracelets too.  Have fun and be playful!

And for my easiest dessert of all time (no baking required!), you must check out my Lemonade Pie...

You won't believe how simple it is!!

Happy Tuesday!
