We sailed through the night and woke up in Germany. We were ready to get off the boat and start an adventure. Smith was ready for his Fruit Loops.
So excited about our first port!!
We ported in Rostock and then took the train 20 minutes to the town of Warnemunde.
Hitting the streets for some shopping.
Kensington found a treasure...this pony stayed with us the rest of the trip. She is obsessed with horses!
I have blogged extensively about my love affair of authentic German food. I had one full day to eat as much as I could. This is me about to eat wiener schnitzel followed by apple strudel. I ended the day having brats and sauerkraut. I just love German food. Love it!
My kids did great napping as we went.
Love my dad and love my hubs!
As we were walking, we stumbled upon this German circus-thing...it was very random. Kensington was sound asleep in her stroller but Smith was awake. We got to pet elephants and giraffes. Very cool and very random. Here is my mom petting an elephant.
And Andrew and Smith petting the giraffe. They were standing on a platform (the giraffe is not as tall as Andrew :)).
After spending several hours in our first city, we took the train back to Rostock to finish up the day. We shopped and shopped and then stopped for a smoothie break at this cute little cafe.
I just love my grandparents! And my kids really love them!
We had a full, full day in Germany. We started at 9:00 and went until about 9:00. We were a happy group!
Tomorrow, we spend the day at sea!
